To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we do not use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
It was great fun to use. Still waiting for my USB3 extension card to use it with PC. But even with the headset itself, it offers an amazing experience, regardless of watching movies, playing games, etc. Even the device tutorial is kinda fun.
Funciona muy bien y todo solo que a veces me he percatado que se ven muchos leds de colores R G B en cada ojo, desconosco si esto es algo normal ya que solo diran unos segundos y se quitan, esto sucede al conectarlo al pc.
After owning a Rift S that stopped working due to a bad cable, I was looking forward to not having to worry about a faulty cable getting in the way. I was looking forward to playing my favorite games, such as Space Engine, Half-Life Alyx, Pavlov, etc, in a wireless package. Unfortunately, zuckerberg and his minions don't want you to have fun and be happy. They want you to only buy approved, selected, overpriced "games" from their Oculus app store. The least they could do is let me have google earth, like with my last Oculus, but no, not even that is available. It would be really great if we could simply install the VR games we want onto this standalone device from our Steam library, but facebook doesn't want you to independently choose what you do with the Oculus Quest 2, they want a monopoly (what the f*** is the 256GB for then??). There is no option for open-source gaming unless you plug the headset into your PC (so why the f*** did I bother buying a headset that is advertised as "wireless" and "without limits?").
I don't know if the relevant powers that be will actually see this review, but just in case, I kindly ask the Lizard Clan to unf*** this device that is, as of now, a waste of money. After seeing the latest testimony from the facebook whistleblower, Frances Haugen, asserting that facebook doesn't care about their users, I have very little confidence that they will give any consideration to complaints such as mine.
Facebook has ruined Oculus, just like Disney has ruined Star Wars. Save your money for a Valve Index instead. Also I hate the antichrist.
How can you sell such a blurry piece of hardware? We tried adjusting the lens in the 3 different positions. Tried by all members of the family including a kid. Everyone finds it the content BLURRY!!! Feels like watching a poor quality SD video. Was this not tested before releasing??
The Quest 2 device itself is enjoyable, for the handful of games we’ve tried – but the Oculus customer support is horrible!
Trying to get information and clarification has been unnecessarily frustrating.
Pain Point #1 – Lack of documentation. They don’t supply standard downloadable user guides… with a Table of Contents and Index. I have to Google every topic to get information from a YouTube channel in order to figure out what searches to even do on the Oculus site… and then the information is incomplete, or requires a chat.
Pain Point#2 – The chat support personnel obviously don’t have access to full documentation either. They seem to only be able to parrot the basic information on the site.
This is not at all a user friendly device. Initially, I was planning to get a few more headsets, after I figured out how to use the unit.... that definitely won't be happening now.
You also have to setup a Facebook Account, obviously that's just to inflate the number of uses they can claim to have.
I cancelled my order because I saw om youtube that I HAVE to get a facebook account? No way I don't want to have them spy on me thank you. Also I found out I will have to use my Iphone also. No way I do not use my phone to go on line to apps. Just text and phone. I did not see all this in the ad for this VR headset.
Whoever thought of this (facebook) should be fired. Also I was told the lens has blurry issues.
