These look more like something you would put on the end of a mop to wash floors not something you would want out on your counters! Also, the cut out for the faucet is so big that it cannot absorb any water drops around the faucet...which for the most part is where you need it. There are better ones out there that actually fit snug and have snaps to hold tightly in place around the faucet.
Our kitchen sink has always been a problem with water dripping in the space between the sink and the back wall because of your wet hands reaching to cut on and off the water. NO more, these are amazing, very absorbent and just throw in the wash and they look new again. No more wet trough behind the sink.
Did not like the fact that it could not cover all three spouts. I did like the concept of the guard to catch water splashes. Do you make something that can accommodate these newer faucets with three spouts? Thanks.
I have needed this product my whole life and didn’t realize it was available. Especially now, since our existing faucet died and we had to remove it and its escutcheon to install a new faucet that was not meant to be installed until our undermount sink is installed by my SLOW SLOW SLOW to get around to it nephew. So there are open holes on either side of the faucet, and water was splashing through them down under the sink.
These faucet mats proved to be just the thing I needed to (a) cover the holes and (b) soak up the inevitable water drips around the faucet. Size-wise, the mats hang over the edge of the back of the sink about half an inch, but I don’t know if this will be the case when our undermount sink is installed. Doesn’t matter. Makes all the difference in the world having these.
I have not run these through the washing machine yet, but they seem sturdy enough to wash that way. If not, I’ll hand-wash them and hang them to dry. I don’t know why I didn’t get some of these before. My sink has been endlessly infuriating to me, what with the gunk that gets around the faucet hardware and the leaks and crud. These are already helping a lot.
We have a sink on the kitchen island, and I didn't realize that when washing my hands, water went all over the counter behind the faucet. (It's a new house - I wasn't expecting that.) I came across this and absolutely had to try it.
Thankfully it works. It works really, really, really well, and the kitties are no longer blamed for the river on the counter. Because there is no river on the counter.
These are great. And they are washable, so if there actually is a river on the counter (grr - kitties) I can clean them up easily. Which means throw them in the washing machine.
These are well-made and and do what they are supposed to do. Washable means they are reusable. I didn't take into account the faucet plate, so they don't fit flat against the counter, but it's not a deal breaker. I would think washing often would be important, because these pads could hold moisture and cause problems of their own. Something to think about.
I started giving my pre-teen daughter more responsibility which is to wash dishes. She tends to splash the water and this really helped keep it from going all over the place. Anytime it’s soaked I quickly clean it with some softener, squeeze out the access and let it dry. It goes right back on the sink without an issue and is very absorbent. I also like that it comes with two so when needs to be the other can be switched out! 5/5
